New Purpose of Phooblog.
Jun0
Herro!
I know I haven’t updated in awhile and this update will be brief but very important. I have FINALLY decided to start up design for my actual website again which will be dedicated to showcasing some of my photography and other artist works whether it be logo design, websites or application custimizations (icons, themes etc). With the new project underway updates to Phooblog will be slim and further more I have decided to change the entire direction of Phooblog in general.
I love giving updates on tech and phones and my life and all that jazz regularly but originally Phooblogs main purpose was to be a “Photography Blog”. Where I could upload on the go photos (I know use Twitter for that…see to your right) and updates on my photo shoots and/or trips. Once Phoobl.com is finished I will make Phooblog what it was supposed to be about. I haven’t decided whether or not I will have another blog as well with all my tech ramblings and other non-me and non-photo related stuff.
So that is your Monday update….talk to you soon.
Check for regular updates at www.PHOOBL.com
Crazy day in the news fo CNN.com
Jun0
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get tired of meaningful stories and things that actually matter in my life. You know sometimes that involves local politics and national politics or sometimes it involves changes in the world or whatever. Stuff that might actually mean something to me. Then there are times when I just want to read about stuff that has no depth and easily transforms from “news” into “entertainment”. Thats when I go to CNN.com
Here is a little snipit from todays front page. Enjoy
Quick Update
Jun0
I haven’t posted in awhile as I have been a little busy with all sorts of things so I thought I would try and quickly write up some updates this morning and get everyone all up to date
- I am on a sweet diet and workout reggy trying to get ready for Mexico!
- On a run last week I spilled water on my G1 and now it works funky, and I am really sad! I am on the hunt for a relatively cheap G2 aka HTC Magic aka Google Ion phone which they handed out for FREE! at the Google I/O conference…bummer! I guess I can wait until another Android release in a few months (Maybe for AT&T please!)
- Apple announced features for their new iPhone at the conference in San Francisco this Monday as well as new computers and the updated new iPhone 3Gs…which just seems like a funny name to me. I guess the S is supposed to stand for speed and even though they won’t tell us anything about the actual hardware of the damn thing and will go Doubly as faster as before so go spend $299 if you are lucky enough to be on the “upgrade” path or an even better $500 if you were silly enough to actual give money to Apple before. OR you could just upgrade to the iPhone 3.0 OS on your current iPhone have 90% of the new features are pass up this “Doubly as faster” model … your choice!
- Palm also released they much talked about Palm Pre to the world with a moderate first weekend compared to the mighty iPhone release. People have generally taken to the Pre pretty nicely and I have to admit it is a slick looking piece of hardware and an even prettier OS. Of course it is compared most directly to the iPhone as most all touchscreen phones have to be now and some will say “la la la iPhone” and others will say “do do do Pre”. You decide for yourself and don’t listen to all these raving lunatics on the internet…..except me of course =)
- Chrysler and FIAT can not officially bring us the Fiat Cinquecento (500)! This deal had some rough patches and I would say there is still a lot of fluff in the air in terms of how people feel about FIAT, an Italian Auto company for those who don’t know, now owning a fairly large portion of Chrysler. If you have been in the stone ages the past few months you wouldn’t know Chryslar was essentially about to die and this was the only way to save it….it was this or liquidate the company to pay of debt, which apparently the US govt did not feel was a viable option. I may be biased as I am half Italian and an Italian Citizen but I think this could be great….my last visit to Italia a few months ago I was thoroughly impressed by the FIAT cars there (They dominate the Italian market) and I think some of them could do very well here and help with pushing Chrysler into a more efficient model.
- Orlando won a game in the finals, which I predicted of course! But I fear they will end up losing this series 4-2 to the Lakers. I know it seems the fun thing to do these days to root against Kobe Bryant but after hating him for so many yers and I am actually a teeny bit of a fan these days. Should be a good series and everyone check it out!
Thats about all I can think of a muster for right now
Enjoy your day!
Apple missed chance to hate on Windows more?
Jun0
I know what you are thinking, there is no way Apple would ever pass up the opportunity to bash and poke and stab at the Windows platform; but MacWorld seems to think they did.
In the end, Win 7 may not really be better than OS X, but it doesn’t have to be. It just has to be pretty good. The Mac’s nearly three-year window of opportunity to take the desktop market is just about to close. Apple could have done better.
Seems even the Apple heads over at MacWorld think Apple took a step in the wrong direction….YIKES! They managed to get in their licks FOR Apple though with lines like this describing their product line “the Mac appeals to people who are willing to pay for something that is a cut above.” and “While it’s hard to criticize a company who does a good job catering to the top 10 percent of the consumer market“. That last one I found interesting, since I am 99% sure the people who spend the most cash on their computers are Gamers, and I know we use PCs…at least for gaming =)
- Anyways, I felt Apple getting a little hard love from their back pocket boyfriend deserved the “D U H” badge for the day in that Apple, Vista sucked and you should have taken advantage…but you didnt, DUH!!!!!!!
Weekend Roundup
Jun0
*side note: I started this at 11pm last night..it is now 5:30pm today…ok continue
So real quick wanted to get this message in here to keep everyone up to date on what I did this stoopendous weekend! First quick note, if you don’t already know I have taken a vow to not drink for the month of June for a few reasons. 1 because the month of May always seems to be the most exciting (drinking a lot) of all the months in the year and June is a good slow down in pre for a fun couple of Summer months. I did this last year and felt great so I am hoping it all goes to plan…and that I can get into some kind of beach shape before Mexico
(5:30pm start point)
So I tend to start my weekend at around 12pm on Friday because lets be honest, who wants to work all the way until 5pm on Friday. I DONT. So I get through the end of my work on Friday think that this would be the start of a relaxing weekend with no drinking and not a whole lot of going out. But alas, I got a call and was summoned to join in the late night activities. This of course started with a few games of 007 with Carlos in which we traded a couple of games back and forth, but it was an FRIENDLY of course. We then of course watched Entourage and of course had our dreams of grandeur and how we would be if we had hella monies and lots of babes….
…ummm ok back to the post
We then went to Little Baobab for some great dancing and awesome music. If you haven’t been there you definitely need to check it out. Since I wasn’t drinking getting to and from was easy enough and the night had a pretty tame ending
Continue for more of the weekend ….

Wednesday Morning “D U H” article
May0
I have decided to start a weekly posting that I hope to keep up called the Wednesday “D U H” article. Sounded out alla Jenny, like Dee You Ahe or whatever. =) This article that I found on Wed will be on a topic that could definitely be interesting and informative but is something everyone should already know.
I felt that this particular article today was a perfect starting point for this weekly posting. Popular Science, a site I really like BTW, recently did a study on who would be a worst driver.
You may be surprised by the results. I have always had friends tell me “Oh smoking marijuana and driving is fine” well this study has something of a different opinion. Hey, you may not be worse off than Mr. Johnny Walker but of course your are affected! DUH!
The students were tested for physiological strain and driving performance as they drove through rural communities and desert scenes, and past roadblocks and pedestrians. One group smoked low and high doses of THC. Another downed vodka and “orange drink” cocktails to reach Israel’s legal limit of .05 percent blood alcohol content. Others took a placebo.
Have a good Wednesday=)
Memy Day Drinkend
May1
Holy Moly, where to begin.
So we all look forward to long weekends. whether it be to get away from our everyday lives or to just relax and be worry free or in my case this weekend to over indulge in some of the more fun aspects of being a gentleman in his now late twenties in San Francisco.
Middle of last week my bestest east coast buddy Jenny came into town FINALLY after being away for a very long time in DC (where she now lives) so we of course started the long weekend early with an outing of friends. The next few days we went out and then my buddy Lou hopped on in from LA for a visit on the long weekend and we continued the outings. I got in some Frolf, some Dancing, some Beverages and lots more. Sunday was probably the best day seeing as I got the treat of being taken to Napa for some wine tasting with my good friends as a late Birthday trip and it was one of the better days I have had in awhile.
Today, or I guess technically yesterday, was a very relaxing day just around the hood and on the couch recovering
I wanted to write a lot more but it is getting pretty late and I should hit the sack. I hope you all had as much fun this weekend as I did and I will leave you with some photos to tell the rest of the stories.
Ciao!
Testing out a new Theme :)

Don’t mind me, trying to see how to get a photo at the top of this thing. Cheers
