Today I am sitting at my desk talking to my buddy Tess as you can see here:

And if you can’t make out the text I had brought up the topic of buying a new phone. I was interested in the (Samsung SGH-I320N) or better know as the Cingular blackjack. So I started going down the list of reasons why I would want the phone. Oddly enough I was only able to finds reasons why I should NOT get the phone. If you don’t already know, I am the extremely proud owner of the Samsung X820 which happens to be the best phone I have ever owned in my life. And if you are any friend of mine you know that I have gone through my fair share of high tech cellies. So anyways Instead of listing the great things in the smart phone I tried to come up with things it had that my current cellie did not have. I found that the answer was nothing! The X820 runs a beautiful version of Java that pretty much takes care of everything I need….for example
Internet = Opera Mini - A full browser allowing me to browse any and all websites quickly, easily and in a great way. This is the only option for web browsers if you are looking for one for your cell phone.
RSS Feeds = Opera Mini - I told you this thing rocks!
Email = Built in fully functional client & Gmail mobile client
Photos = This phone has a 2.0 Megapixel Camera! Are you kidding me???
Text & Talk = Works flawlessly on both
Calendar & Contacts = Room for 5000!
My favorite Part!
Size = This thing is tiny!!!
At only 113 x 50 x 6.9mm it weighs 66 grams!!! (Thats .14 pounds folks)
The one downfall of this phone is its battery life. Seeing has it was not mass produced like most phones (Another reason for its appeal = ITS ORIGINAL) but anyways the battery only lasts about 2 hours talk time. This is very very short for cellies these days.
Lucky enough spare batteries can be found (I got 2 for 34 bucks) and used. I know you might be thinking…who the hell wants to carry around spare batteries. Well, most people would not. But if you didn’t fully understand the thinness of this phone here are some shots of the battery.
Here is how I carry my battery around. It fits nicely into my wallet. Being only the size of about 3 credit cards, this thing fits in with no problem at all. Seeing as I carry my wallet everywhere anyways… BAM! Problem solved.

And to further illustrate the TINY battery here it is next to 2 pennies. That is right, my cell phone battery is about as thick as 2 pennies side by side.

So to get to the conclusion. I decided not to buy a new phone and keep this awesome one all by itself.
OH! Did I mention I wrote this blog & took all the pictures here with my Cell Phone!! BAM!!!!!!!
Thats all, I just wanted to explain how much I truly love my phone!! ROCK ON!!!
Based on this blog entry I have concluded you have way too much time on your hands. And thank god for it! What would I do without our chitchat during the workday? We go together like a keyboard and a mouse.
