If you are a stranger to me, first of all thank you for reading my blog, but beyond that you will not know that May 18^th, 1983 was the day that this wonderful place we call home was blessed with the birth of yours truly. A child of the city of San Francisco, I was born @ St. Mary’s hospital on Stanyan just a few blocks away from Haight!! HAHA, I take pride in that fact. Anyways, in the year of 2007 I celebrated the fact that I had been alive for about 8760 days. I have grown to love birthdays more than most occasions, seeing as I think everyone is always Happy.

So anyways, for my 24^th I had a nice dinner planned with some of my close friends followed by a night at Brunos in the mission with all the people I love the most. The night started after work when I went home and starting drinking, haha. Greg & Nick were home and we started to get ready. We were meant to leave @ 8:30 for dinner @ 9 and yet Nick disappeared to do laundry around 7:30 or so and when 8 had rolled around he was nowhere to be found, on top of which he didn’t have his cell phone! haha. Greg and I decided to relax my nerves of Nick missing with 3 shots of I can’t even remember but eventually we had to leave Nick to the abyss as Tess had showed up and was gracious enough to drive us to LuLu which is the great restaurant I had picked for dinner, you should check it out. We got to LuLu slightly late but of course nobody else had showed up of the 13 or so that confirmed. So, we sat at the bar and started to drink more. People started to show slowly and at this point after the shots from home and the 5 or so Gin & Tonics I had drunk I could have really cared less. We finally get seated some 45 minutes late and while the food was delicious and the company even better I felt incredibly rushed because I told people to show up at Brunos at 11 and had already started to get text messages asking where I was or how long it would be till I got there. Now, I am usually one to try and make everyone happy and plus I was excited that people had come out for me so I wanted to get there ASAP. We probably ate dinner in less than an HOUR, which now that I think about it really stunk cause I would have liked to relax and enjoy it a little more. Lesson for next year = Don’t get wasted before dinner & make sure reservations are never after 8pm for birthdays.

So after our rushed dinner we get in a cab and rush to Brunos….mind you I am pretty toasted already at this point. We get to Brunos, and some of my friends are waiting outside and then we get inside and even more of my friends are there waiting there. Now if you know me at all, you know I cherish the friendships I have made….through thick and thin even if I made horrible mistakes or they have and we hurt each other if we are close friends you are like my family. But away from that mushy stuff….it was so incredibly awesome to see all the people there with smiles and hugs and all that great good stuff. YOU GUYS ALL ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I drank and danced the night away and while I was a tad bit more drunk that I would have liked I had a great birthday thanks to all the awesome people I had around me.
