I have gotten into the habit of using Google Maps now exclusively instead of say Mapquest or any other similar service. I am not sure how many of the rest of you do this as well…but I can imagine there are at least a few. So what exactly do you use your internet maps for…other than directions??

Beyond directins!

I have gotten into the habit of creating my own maps more recently showing different kinds of institutions which I enjoy going to. My first map was those of the Bars/Clubs in San Francisco. Now even growing up in this fantastic town I have yet to visit most of the Bars here. So if you know of any not yet on my map, then please leave a comment and I will get it up there soon.
I think this is a great way not only for your own records and for an easy guide around town, but to get a better knowledge of where things are and to pass it along to friends or whoever so that they can get to the places you’ve been. I am currently working on a Pizza Joints map and a few other ideas I have for the future are Burrito places, 24 hour or at least 3am spots for after-bar food and then tourist locations to help out visiting family and friends!!

Check out my maps and maybe you can come up with some ideas for your own!! I say whenever you get a chance, try and use at least a little creativity. You’ll feel better, I promise!!
