I just wanted to make one quick point. Other updates are coming
I ride my bikes often, and I often ride my bike to work for convenience, excercise and just to not have to use any gas
There is the SFBC or the San Francisco Bike Coalition which stands up for the rights of bike riders etc. I think it is a great cause and I think that more people should be into bike riding.
Since the hike in gas and increased volume of workers in SF bike riding is definitely on the rise. I can remember just 16 months ago I felt mostly alone on my rides to work and now there are at least 40 riders I pass on the way. It is great!
The reason for this post is that many want more rights, but many do NOT know the rules of the road or are simply rude bike rides. They crowd other bike riders, cut off cars, run red lights and more. I am not saying that I am not guilty of some of this sometimes but this morning it shocked me. I am sorry but as an avid bike rider I have to call out other riders and say if you want more rights you have to respect the rules and everyone you share the road with, period. Oh, and don’t be a damn hipster

So here I am, having napped for 4 hours on a Friday night until 1:30am after one of those “went by so fast, god when will it end” weeks that I have become oh so familiar with. I have been meaning to write so much about what has happened in the past few days and just never felt like I had the time.
Now that I am refreshed and rested I felt why not use the wee morning hours of this Saturday to get everything I wanted to for the past week out there.
So what do we have to talk about? Well last Friday was Oct 31st, a day when we are allowed to be anything we want! I finally got back out to see some live music which is a past-time I wish never faded…and I plan to remedy that. We have a week of hard work, many questions and most importantly a Presidential election that could very well change the world in which man kind lives. I have lots to say so lets go ahead and go for it =) Read the rest of this entry »

It is a step….please do not think that it is all the change we need. We indeed have a lot of work to do on many fronts. I can not begin to express the things that effect us all. We elected a non-white man to the Presidency of the United States and we banned many of our fellow Americans from enjoying some of the same rights that EVERYONE should enjoy today.
There is plenty to be happy about that is for sure, but plenty more to do.

Good Afternoon.
This post will go before my weekend post as I just had to get it off of my chest right now. As we are sitting on the eve of what will be a historical Presidential Election I have been browsing the news sites, forums and video sites as I usually do just to get a feel for how things are being shown.
What I have started to see in the past 2-3 days is that the HATE and extreme people on both sides have ramped up their efforts to breaking the redline at this point. There are videos and articles sure painting each candidate in not the best of light but it is the COMMENTS that really have me scared… Read the rest of this entry »
